Satire is a definite type of poetry first appears in Rome in 1st century BC. Horace, an ancient Roman writer developed, refined and stabilized the style of writing (Kernan). Horace also claimed that Roman are only superior in satiric writings among all writing styles. In his definition, satire is more than a writing style — it is a literacy form. The word satire itself naturally have negative meanings; satiric is more related to hostility than to kindness.
